The installation of a long-awaited elevator at the Amityville LIRR Station is complete, making the station widely accessible, convenient and ADA -compliant for all patrons. Additional disabled parking has also been added to the station’s south lot, which enables the station to serve as an ideal access point for commuters and visitors to the Village.

Other upgrades to the station include the introduction of smart meters to replace existing coin-operated meters which takes effect in early July.
