Next NY Rising Public Workshop Next Thursday at Tanner Park
Post-Sandy event will be held at Senior Center in Open House Style format.

The New York Rising Community Reconstruction Program will hold a public open house workshop at Tanner Park in Copiague on November 7.
The program, which was established to provided additional rebuilding and revitalization assistance to communities hit hard by Hurricane Sandy, as well as Tropical Storms Irene and Lee, will hold the event at the Tanner Park Senior Center at #2 Tanner Park in Copiague, just across from the park's performance stage.
The event, according to organizers, will be open-house style with a short summary presentation at 6:15 p.m.
The program has been focused on helping residents gain knowledge, experience and recommendations that will be be essential to the development of the area's reconstruction. The event will also held communities identify reconstruction projects and other actions that would consider current damage, future threats and help to the local economy.
Organizers urged members of the town to provide input on the work that has already been completed.
The informational public event will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is open to all members of the public.
