North Lindenhurst House Damaged In Crash That Injured Three

It started at the intersection of Laurel Road and Straight Path.

LINDENHURST, NY — A house was damaged and three people were taken to local hospitals after an accident at 4:49 p.m. Monday in North Lindenhurst, Suffolk County police said.

Officers from the First Precinct responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of Straight Path and Laurel Road that damaged a house.

According to their preliminary investigation, a Honda Accord was traveling west on Laurel Road through the intersection when it crossed into the southbound lanes of Straight Path, colliding with a Toyota Prius. As a result, the Prius veered off the road, through a fence and struck the corner of a home.

Three people in the Prius, as well as the driver of the Accord, were all transported to area hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said. No one in the home was injured. The Town of Babylon Building Inspector was called to assess the damage.
