NWS Reminds Lindenhurst Of Historic Flooding Before Tuesday PM Storm
The report covered more than a decade of local storm flooding.

LINDENHURST, NY — With widespread moderate coastal flooding expected for much of Long Island with the Wednesday morning high tide, the National Weather Service provided a report on more than a decade of storm flooding in and around Lindenhurst, Copaigue, Amityville and Babylon with its morning storm briefing.
One of the examples was from Jan. 24, 2017, when Lindenhurst village suffered significant flooding exacerbated by the high tide. The NWS used this photo from Patch:

The National Weather Service said major flooding would be possible along the Great South Bay Wednesday morning.
