Photos: Lindy Varsity Girls Swim Team Digs Pink

The Lindenhurst High School Girls Varsity Swim team members wear pink swim caps and raise money in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Lindenhurst High School Varsity Girls Swim team held a special Breast Cancer Awareness Dig Pink swim meet on October 4.

Team members wore pink swim caps, and parents sold “pink treats” to raise money for breast cancer awareness.

The treats included homemade cupcakes, cookies, lemonade and chocolate. They also sold magnets, pens, bracelets, pins, mints and stickers.

“This team is special,” said Coach Diane Pollard. “They raised $150 that day, and donated the money to the American Cancer Society.”
