Police Seek North Lindenhurst Bank Robber

Police say Citibank on Sunrise Highway was robbed on Monday morning by a man who fled on foot.

Suffolk Police are searching for a man who robbed the in North Lindenhurst on Monday morning.

Police said a man purportedly entered the bank, located at 120 Sunrise Highway, at approximately 10 a.m., and handed a teller a note that threatened violence and demanded money.

According to police, the employee gave the man cash from the drawer, and he allegedly fled on foot.

The man, police said, is described as black, in his late 20s, with a muscular build, approximately 6 feet tall to 6 feet 2 inches tall.

Police also said he was wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts, black sneakers and a black baseball cap with a red brim.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about this July 23 incident to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS.

All calls will remain confidential, police noted.
