According to NYS DOT officials, the July 24 hearing has been requested on behalf of Suffolk County.
The County requested the hearing because "it's proceeding with a capacity and safety improvement project at the intersections of County Route 3 (Wellwood Avenue) with Long Island Avenue and Conklin Street," the press release stated.
