Recycle Household Hazardous Wastes Safely This Sat.

Town of Babylon will be collecting wastes to safely recycle them and prevent har to environment.

The Town of Babylon will host the S.T.O.P. program this Saturday in an effort to prevent dumping of possibly toxic chemicals into the water drainage system.

S.T.O.P., or Stop Throwing Out Pollutants, is a program run with the assistance of the Department of Environmental Control and aims to protect Long Island's life-sustaining underground water supply from chemical contamination.

The town will be collecting the materials to be safely disposed of at the Residential Recycling Center on Saturday, October 12 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
