Santa Coming to North Lindenhurst on Saturday
Santa rides with the North Lindy Fire Department - which is also selling Christmas trees - and makes a stop at Century 21 AA Realty on December 8.
Santa will be taking a break from his holiday responsibilities at the North Pole for a visit to North Lindenhurst this Saturday.
Santa's Ride
First he'll be joining the North Lindenhurst Fire Department for its annual Santa's Ride on December 8.
The annual NLFD tradition features Santa Claus making an appearance all throughout the streets of North Lindy courtesy of the Department. So keep an ear and eye out on your block on Saturday, North Lindy.

The event runs for as long as it takes for Santa and the department volunteers to visit the neighborhood via fire truck. In years past candy canes have been given out, and Santa's been accompanied by some special holiday friends.
And according to Second Deputy Chief Michael Newman the Ride will begin at 9 a.m. and go throughout the North Lindy Fire District.

"We'll also be giving out cups with our name and information, and candy canes, to kids and residents," he told Lindenhurst Patch.
Annual Tree Sale
Newman also said the Department is once again holding its Annual Christmas Tree Sale - something that's been happening for last five years or so.
"The drill team - [the Piston Knockers] - is holding it, and is selling Christmas trees, wreaths and cemetery blankets," Newman said.
The sale started this week - the first week of December - and will run to Christmas, the Second Deputy Chief noted.
"We usually sell about two or three loads of trees alone, and we do deliver them locally," Newman said.
The trees can be found in the parking lot behind the firehouse on Straight Path.
The hours are Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

He also offered this simple, but important advice to stay safe during the holidays: "Be careful with your Christmas trees and wreaths and candles, as well as any space heaters. Don't leave them unattended. And keep the space heaters and candles away from the trees."
Free Photos with Santa
After riding with the NLFD Santa will be at Century 21 AA Realty Estate at 1596 Straight Path (on the corner of Heathcote Road/Wellwood Avenue and Straight Path, next to CVS/pharmacy).
There parents can take their kids for a free photo with Santa in a holiday frame. Candy canes will also be given out.
Some special holiday helpers, plus Dora the Explorer, will accompany Santa at the annual event - now in its 29th year.
Santa and friends will be at Century 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
