Stop & Shop Celebrates Grand Reopening of Amityville Store
Remodeled Store Features a Fresh New Look, Expanded Produce, Deli, Bakery, Grocery and Seafood Departments

Stop & Shop, a neighborhood grocer for more than 100 years, today unveiled its newly remodeled store in Amityville (351 Merrick Road).
The store, which opened its doors in 2000, is now noticeably brighter and more modern. The store not only has a new look, but it also has new features that are centered around delivering fresh, healthy, and convenient options to make grocery shopping easier.

- Expanded produce department offering more ways to eat healthy
- A refreshed bakery department complete with delicious cakes, cupcakes and other treats
- An updated deli department that features an expanded assortment of grab-and-go and easy meal solutions, as well as sushi made fresh in-store daily
- Upgraded seafood department with expanded offerings
- Updated pharmacy where Stop & Shop’s trained and trusted pharmacists can conveniently and safely administer COVID-19 and other vaccines
- Organic and natural products integrated within the grocery aisles allowing customers to see all product options available
- Convenience cases filled with the essentials – milk, butter, and eggs – located right by checkout so customers can quickly grab the most-needed items, without having to walk the entire store
“We’re excited to share our newly remodeled store with our local shoppers,” said Tony Marazzo, Store Manager of Stop & Shop Amityville. “We’ve added more of what our customers want and upgrades they need to get their shopping done faster and get back to what matters most.”
To celebrate the remodeled store, Stop & Shop will donate $1,000 in gift cards to the St. Martin of Tours Food Pantry to help fight food insecurity in the community. Shoppers can also look forward to a weekend of giveaways and samples, August 27-29, while supplies last.
