Storm Coats Lindenhurst in a Few Inches of Snow
Snow expected to end later today but coats Lindy in with fresh white powder.
A passing storm system has left Lindenhurst coated in a few inches of slushy white snow.
The storm began dropping flakes around 9 a.m. this morning and continued throughout the day, coating everything from streets to grassy yards before slowing down around noon.
The National Weather Service has placed the area in a Winter Weather Advisory until 5 p.m. Meteorologists are forecasting anywhere between two to five inches of snow across Long Island.
The snowfall has already caused the cancellation of Lindenhurst School District afternoon events, including tonight's eighth-grade concert.
