Suffolk County Police arrested a Long Island student after he posted a photo on Instagram, police say.
COPIAGUE, NY – A Long Island teen was arrested after making threats of mass harm on Monday morning, according to Suffolk County police.
Suffolk County Police today arrested a Copiague Middle School student for making a threat of mass
harm on social media.
Police responded to Copiague Middle School around 6:45 a.m. after school officials called 911 to report that a 12-year-old male student posted a photo on Instagram that showed a gun, police said.

The student was arrested and charged with making a threat of mass harm, police said.
Police said they investigated the threat and determined the threat is not credible.
