Thanksgiving Weekend Closures In Lindenhurst
There will be no garbage pick-up in the village on Thanksgiving.
LINDENHURST, NY — As many Lindenhurst residents will gather with family for Thanksgiving, village employees will also have a long holiday.
Lindenhurst Village Hall will close at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, and resume operations on Monday at 8 a.m.
In a social media post announcing the adjusted schedule, the village instructed residents to "Enjoy the turkey, not the trash!"

As for the sanitation schedule:
Wednesday: Normal paper and cardboard recycling pick-up

Thursday: Canceled
Friday:
- Trash: South of the Long Island Rail Road.
- Recycling: R4 only
Saturday:
- Trash: North of the Long Island Rail Road.
- Recycling: R5 only
Village officials also reminded residents that this week's recycling is for "bottles only."
