Three Cars Damaged In Wellwood-Hoffman Collision
No one seriously injured according to emergency officials.
Three vehicles were damaged following a collision at the intersection of Wellwood Avenue and Hoffman Avenue on Thursday evening.
Eyewitnesses said a Dodge minivan and a Ford truck collided at the intersection of South Wellwood Avenue and Hoffman Avenue at around 8:50 p.m.
The impact sent the Ford truck under the raised railroad tracks and into a parked Mercedes Benz sedan parked on the opposite side of Hoffman. The truck took out a light fixture and one-way traffic sign along the way.
According to an emergency official on the scene, no one in any of the vehicles was seriously injured.
A man walking his dog was okay after reportedly almost being struck by the vehicles.
Suffolk Police and Lindenhurst Fire Department shut down North Wellwood heading south for a short time before opening one lane of traffic back up.
