Three Lindy Teams Get Nod for Sportsmanship
Lindenhurst Varsity Baseball, Varsity Boys Badminton and Varsity Girls Track are recognized by Section XI.
Three Lindenhurst teams have been recognized for good sportsmanship by their peers.
The Lindenhurst Varsity Baseball team, the Varsity Boys Badminton team and the Varsity Girls Track team recently received the honor from Section XI.
Superintendent Richard Nathan made the announcement at the Lindenhurst Board of Education end-of-year on .

"The sportsmanship award is a huge honor," Athletic Director Anthony Amesti told Lindenhurst Patch at the meeting.
The coaches and athletes in Section XI get together and rate each other, Amesti explained, and then Section XI compiles all of that information and based on the results teams are awarded.
