Traffic Alert: Lindenhurst Roads Slated For Closure

LINDENHURST, NY — The Village of Lindenhurst is warning drivers about traffic interruptions and road closures on South Wellwood Avenue in September.

South Wellwood Avenue, from Hoffman Avenue to Gates Avenue, is slated for closure on Monday, September 16, and Tuesday, September 17, starting at 7 a.m., according to village officials.

The street will be closed for milling on Monday and paving on Tuesday, officials said.

Anyone who plans to drive their motor vehicles on those days must have them off the streets and out of driveways by 6:30 a.m., officials said.

In addition, store-front parking will be unavailable, but sidewalks will remain passable for accessibility to businesses.

The streets will be reopened around 2 p.m. on September 16 and 5 p.m. on September 17.
