Two Men Injured in Lindenhurst Scaffolding Accident

Workers taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Two men were injured on Tuesday afternoon in a scaffolding accident on 33rd Street in Lindenhurst.

Suffolk Police said at approximately 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday two men were working on a home on 33rd Street when the scaffolding gave way.

One 41-year-old man from Farmingdale sustained injuries to both legs, police said. The other, a 40-year-old Massapequa man, sustained head injuries.

Police said there was no word about how serious the head injuries were, but sources said he was unresponsive at the scene.

Though a medevac helicopter was called to the scene, landing at nearby , both men were transported to in West Islip by ambulance, police said.

Both men work for Monster Home Improvements, police noted.

Police officials had no other details about the July 10 accident or the identities of the two men.
