Village Discusses Several Upcoming Events

Two upcoming events were discussed at last Tuesday night's Board of Trustees meeting at Village Hall.

The trustees also approved the Town of Babylon's request to have part of the course for this year's Long Island Run for the Warriors route include a portion of the Village's streets.

The annual event is set for October 20.

The opening ceremonies will begin at 9 a.m. at Town Hall in Lindenhurst on Sunrise Highway, with the event starting at 9:30 a.m., running approximately until 2 p.m. throughout the Town and ending at Town Hall.

Deputy Mayor Kevin McCaffrey and Village Trustee Mike Lavorata will be participating in the event, as well.

Other upcoming Village, and Lindenhurst Rotary Club, events include Oktoberfest, October 5 to 7, and the Halloween Family Fun Day on October 20, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
