Village Repaving N. Wellwood Wed., Asking Residents to Remove Cars
Lindenhurst residents will need to remove their vehicles from parts of North Wellwood Avenue by 7 a.m. on Wedesday, September 26.

The road resurfacing project for North Wellwood Avenue, from Harrington Avenue to Kane Street, is a go.
As Lindenhurst Patch previously reported, Lindenhurst Village was waiting to get word from Farmingdale-based paving company Posillico, which did roadwork a few months ago in the Village.
Today Deputy Village Administrator shared with Patch in an e-mail the repaving project is a go, noting the Village "will be milling the roadway on Wednesday, September 26."

As a result residents will need to remove their cars from Wellwood between Harrington North to Kane by 7 a.m. next Wednesday so work could begin.
The resurfacing will take place after the milling "as soon as possible," and, as such, the tentative dates for resurfacing, according to Madlon, are next Thursday and Friday, September 27 and 28.

Residents on the affected roadway will also be notified by the Village, which "thanks them for their cooperation."
The only thing that could hold up the project is the weather, which almost pushed back repaving of North Wellwood Avenue between Harrington Avenue and John Street back in April.
The Village will communicate any changes if the weather should become a challenge, and if residents have questions, then they could call Madlon at Village Hall at 631-957-7500.
This project will be paid for by NYS CHIPS funds and Multimodal Funds through Senator Charles Fuschillo's office.
