VOL Summer Concert Series 2012 Set
Hear music ranging from soft rock and country to 50s, jazz and folk in the Village Square this Summer.
Summer is here and the school year has ended.
And just in time the Summer Concert Series begins Saturday night, June 30.
There are 10 in total in this year’s series (see the table below), and all of them will be held at the Village Square Park Gazebo - which has been rebuilt and is open to the public - at the corner of North Wellwood and East Hoffman Avenues.

Show time for all of the concerts is 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., according to Village officials.
“We have a good mix of music this year,” said Maryann Weckerle, Village trustee and co-chairperson of the concert series this year along with fellow Trustee Mike Lavorata.

“We made some minor changes this year, and the concert series now includes a few more genres,” Weckerle told Lindenhurst Patch.
“We have 50s, jazz, soft rock, folk music and country music, and an open mic might,” she continued.
The annual concert series is sponsored by the Incorporated Village of Lindenhurst and the Lindenhurst Village Business Improvement District Corporation.
Residents wishing to enjoy some rockin’ tunes at the new gazebo should also bring a lawn chair - but no alcohol beverages. As per Village Code and New York state law, no alcoholic beverages are permitted in public parks, such as this one.
Weckerle also noted the new restrooms at the newly built substation in the Village Square will be open during the concerts.
