Vote Tuesday For BOE Candidates, School Budget

Eight candidates running in this year's board of education race.

On Tuesday, Lindenhurst School District residents head to the polls to vote on the annual school spending plan and also candidates for the board of education.

The $145.7 million proposed budget includes a 1.99 percent increase in the tax levy, uses $1.1 million in reserves and also removes more than 60 aides. Polls will be open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Lindenhurst Middle School and four elementary schools: Albany, Daniel, Harding, and William Rall.

Richard Koehler, running to complete the term on the seat he currently holds

Robert Vitiello, running for reelection unopposed
