Testing is becoming increasingly important each year, which means to be successful in school, grades matter.
So, how can parents motivate their children to study for their exams? Some are resorting to cold, hard cash.

According to a July study about children and money by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and Harris Interactive, 48 percent of parents paid for good grades.

However, not all parents are convinced that payouts are the way to go.
Some have said since good grades are something children should be achieveing on their own, additional incentives are too easily turned into bargaining tools.
