West Gates Students Collect Money for UNICEF
Students donate nearly $200 to world's largest provider of vaccines for developing countries.

Fifth-grade students at West Gates Avenue Elementary School collected $180.26 for UNICEF throughout the month of October.
The students, all in Suzanne Prenderville’s class, learned about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as a part of the Common Core curriculum.
The students viewed a UNICEF video entitled "For Every Child." Following the viewing, the class was inspired by the work UNICEF does, especially in children's health and education and decided to bring in coins and raise money for the organization.
“They almost filled a half-gallon milk container with coins and dollars,” said Prenderville. “The students are extremely proud of their donation.”
The world’s largest provider of vaccines for developing countries, UNICEF supports child health and nutrition, good water and sanitation, and quality basic education.
