Local schools continue to provide students a solid education, but the tax cap and unfunded mandates threaten the school district's fiscal future. Burglaries seem to have become a bit more commonplace, too, as the economy stagnates.
And while there are success stories throughout the business district of Lindenhurst, but vacancies still exist and the need to attract new business continues.
