What Would You Improve in Lindenhurst?

Like most communities on Long Island, Lindenhurst Village and North Lindenhurst have great things to offer residents, but could always use improvements.

Local schools continue to provide students a solid education, but the tax cap and unfunded mandates threaten the school district's fiscal future. Burglaries seem to have become a bit more commonplace, too, as the economy stagnates.

And while there are success stories throughout the business district of Lindenhurst, but vacancies still exist and the need to attract new business continues.

It's times like these that people get to thinking about the home they love so much, coming up with their own ideas, whether they're wild stretches of the imagination or practical fixes that are altogether doable, to keep all of Lindenhurst great into the foreseeable future.

So let's hear them, Lindy.
