Which Place in Lindy Makes Pancakes You Flip Over?

When IHOP announced it was giving away a free short stack of pancakes on Tuesday for National Pancake Day - a holiday the franchise itself launched in 2006 - we at Lindenhurst Patch rustled up our favorite flavored syrups just for the occasion.

It also got us thinking. Sure, IHOP is the International House of Pancakes, but what about right here in good ol' Lindy?

We asked on Facebook what our readers thought about which diner or restaurant in Lindenhurst makes the best pancakes, and here’s a sampling of what they said:

Claire Fitzsimons Zontini said it was the South Bay Diner.

Ilene Meister, JoAnn Palermo Klein and Susan Feldman-Guschel all put in a vote for IHOP, but Guschel added Infinity Diner and Meister said the Lindencrest Diner.

Ruth Natale Zukowski told us Peter Pan Diner has the best pancakes in the area.

Aimée Allison also chimed in: “Just had the best pancakes ever at Lindencrest Diner today. I want to know their recipe! They were amazing!”

Doreen Deangelis seemed to take umbrage with Allison’s assessment.

“I make the best pancakes,” she wrote in response.
