Blankets Sought To Wrap Animals With Love At Long Beach Animal Shelter
They can be dropped off seven days a week at the shelter on Park Place.
LONG BEACH, NY — The Post Pets Rescue Long Beach Animal Shelter and the city council are participating in a Blanket Drive for the shelter.
New or gently used, clean blankets are sought for donations. You can drop them off seven days a week at the Park Place shelter.
Leave blankets on the table out front, the city of Long Beach said on Facebook. In case of rain, ring the bell and a volunteer will accept the donation.

Council Member Michael Reinhart and City Manager Dan Creighton joined Senator Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick and Assemblyman Ari Brown to kick off the drive.
