Crimes Nearby: Theft from Autos, Criminal Mischief, DWI

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Point Lookout                                                           

• Thomas Wiecezak, 38 of Merrick was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated at the Loop Parkway in Point Lookout on July 7.               

Lido Beach                                                                                    

• An unknown suspect stole a navigation/DVD screen and EZ Pass from a vehicle parked on Reynolds Drive in Lido Beach between July 2-5. No damage to the vehicle was reported.  

East Atlantic Beach

• An unknown suspect damaged the screen of a front door at a home on Buffalo Avenue in East Atlantic Beach on July 5.

Oceanside                               

• Connor Cooke, age 25 of Carmel, IN, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated at Long Beach Road and Daly Boulevard in Oceanside on July 6.                                             

• Victor Alfieri Jr., 64, of East Meadow was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated at Mott Street and Fireman’s Memorial Drive in Oceanside on July 3.

• An unknown suspect stole a GPS and USC from a vehicle parked near the Long Island Rail Road station, at Royal Avenue and Anchor Avenue in Oceanside, on July 5.
