Floodwall Demonstration, Rosh Hashanah Begins

Jewish Holiday: Rosh Hashanah begins Wednesday evening.

Floodwall Demonstration: The New York Fire Consultants and the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management will team up Wednesday to present a new flood defense product to the area called Floodwalls, starting at 11 a.m. at Nickerson Beach Park, at 880 Lido Blvd. in Lido Beach.

Get Your Fruits and Veggies: The Farmer’s Market is in business every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kennedy Plaza outside Long Beach City Hall. (The market returns each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
