At its annual reorganization meeting on July 1, the Long Beach Board of Education officially appointed 2012-2013 President Roy Lester to serve a second consecutive three-year term. After swearing in Mr. Lester, board members unanimously elected trustee Patrick E. Gallagher to serve as president of the board for the 2013-2014 school year. Dr. Dennis Ryan was then unanimously elected to serve as vice president.
