The City of Long Beach on Saturday held a commemoration ceremony for the one-year anniversary of when Hurricane Sandy slammed the barrier island. The ceremony, held outside City Hall, featured a 15-minute video that captured scenes of the beach town before, during and after the storm struck on Oct. 29, 2012, including interviews with residents and city officials about their experiences living through the natural disaster.
