Lance Kearney, 31, is charged with first- and second-degree burglary and two counts of menacing in the second degree.
Police said that on Aug. 2 at 8:10 p.m., an altercation between a man and woman occurred on the property of 385 Bayview Ave. in Inwood. Kearney, the boyfriend of the woman involved in the fight, went to the scene and allegedly displayed a large black handgun to a 47-year-old woman and demanded to know where the man involved in the altercation was located.
At 9:40 p.m., Kearney entered an apartment on the grounds of 385 Bayview without permission, took out a handgun and threatened a 51-year-old man who was in the kitchen, police said. When Kearney could not locate who he was looking for, he fled the scene in an unknown direction.
No injuries were reported.
Kearney was apprehended with the assistance of the NYPD in front of 14-80 Beach Channel Dr. on April 9.
