Blakeman Plans To Boost Nassau County Border Patrol And Install Cameras: Report
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman has expressed the plans in the aftermath of NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani's win.
NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman said he plans to install cameras and new technology along the border of Nassau County and New York City in light of the election of NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani's win, according to Fox News.
Newsday said that Blakeman wants to intensify patrols on the border in order to protect Nassau County.
Blakeman wants to "protect residents and maintain law and order," in the aftermath of Mamdani's election and "radical policies," according to News 12.

Some of the new technologies include license plate readers, facial recognition, and video monitoring devices, according to Newsday.
Blakeman told Fox News: "We are doing everything necessary to make sure that Nassau County is safe."
