On June 11 at the 2024 IPRO Annual Meeting Luncheon at the Garden City Hotel in Garden City, New York, the proud Centers Health Care nursing team was one of the recipients of the 2024 IPRO Quality Award. This award recognizes health care companies, providers and institutions throughout the northeast who have been working with the IPRO QIN-QIO on quality improvement initiatives and have achieved significant quality-focused goals. IPRO recognized Centers Health Care’s success and innovation with implementing SMART goals from the IPRO- Anticoagulation Action Plan and employing the company’s electronic health record (Point Click Care) to collect data for that action plan.

In the lobby of the hotel, many of the health providers on site had poster displays of their initiatives. An impressive poster titled “Patient Safety” was put together by Boro Park Center and Centers Health Care’s nursing team, demonstrating the success of how the company used electronic health records data.

Surrounding the Centers Health Care and Boro Park Center lobby poster board are from Centers Health Care’s Downstate Regional Nurse Kelly Moteiro, Corporate Director Education and Professional Development Bonnie Chustz, Kendra Raymond, Education & Professional Development Specialist, Kathleen Flanagan, Downstate Regional Director of Clinical Services and Downstate Regional Clinical Director AnnMarie Ramos

The afternoon of the IPRO’s annual meeting and luncheon had speeches from IPRO CEO Theodore Will, IPRO’s Senior Vice President, Chief Medical Officer Clare Bradley, MD, MPH, plus guest speakers Dr. Timothy Huff from Northeastern University who discussed, “How AI Can Transform Long-Term Care” and Kathleen Otte, Administrator from the CMS New York Regional Office, who discussed the importance of "Collaborating for Quality". Following the educational discussions, the awards were presented.
