Roland Auctions to Offer Fine and Decorative Arts in February 10th

Roland Auctions NY, a family-owned and operated auction house since 1973, will present a diverse selection of fine and decorative arts in its February 10th sale. The auction will feature hundreds of lots of paintings, sculptures, furniture, silver, jewelry, rugs, Asian art, and more, from various estates and collections.
The sale will include a rare collection of Zuber French scenic wallpaper panels, depicting exotic landscapes and historical scenes. These panels were produced in the 19th and early 20th centuries, using hand-carved wood blocks and hand-painted details. The panels are estimated to sell for $100 to $800 each.
Another highlight of the sale is a group of antique Berlin hand-painted porcelain plaques, depicting classical and religious subjects. These plaques are finely executed and signed by various artists, such as Wagner, KPM, and Schwerin. The plaques are estimated to sell for $400 to $600 each.

Among the furniture offerings, a 19th century mahogany display cabinet stands out for its elegant design and craftsmanship. The cabinet has a glazed upper section with adjustable shelves, and a lower section with two drawers and two doors. The cabinet is estimated to sell for $1,000 to $1,500.
The auction will also feature a variety of 20th century modern and contemporary art, such as a patinated iron sculpture by Global Visions, a Vallauris glazed ceramic mirror, and an enamel on tin painting signed “Cardin”. These pieces reflect the creativity and diversity of the modern art movement.

For those looking for jewelry and accessories, the sale will offer a range of gold and silver items, such as a Cartier 18K gold ring, a vintage Louis Vuitton steamer trunk, and a Hollywood Regency-style tole monkey motif umbrella stand.
