Woman Shot On Lower East Side: NYPD
The woman was not believed to be the intended target of the shooting.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — A woman was shot in the Lower East Side early Sunday morning and police say she was not believed to be the intended target.
The shooting happened around 4:50 a.m. in the vicinity of Rivington and Ludlow Streets. (For updates on this story and more Lower East Side news, subscribe to the Lower East Side-Chinatown Patch.)
The 26-year-old woman who was shot was hit in her left shoulder and taken to Bellevue Hospital, an NYPD spokeswoman told Patch. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
