A North Massapequa man was awoken by a noise early Monday morning, and discovered his home had been burglarized, police said.
The 59-year-old resident of West Drive woke up some time between 3:30 a.m. and 4:40 a.m. and went downstairs to investigate.
He discovered that a sliding glass door in the rear of the home was open along with the doors to a shed in the backyard.

The man's bicycle was missing and a basement window had been pried open. When police came to the scene, they discovered two cell phones, cash and a pocketbook were also taken, cops said.
The pocketbook was recovered nearby and was empty. Nobody was hurt.
