Community To Gather For Massapequa Holiday Lighting Ceremony

It takes place on Dec. 7 at Klestinac Park.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — A festive night is on tap for Massapequa this weekend. The holidays will be in the air when the Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Christmas tree and menorah lighting.

During the Saturday, Dec. 7 event, music will be provided by DJ Vinny Filippelli of High Voltage Sounds.

The holiday spirit will be on display with free hot chocolate and goodie bags will be handed out.

You find plenty of community spirit as well with performances from A Step Above Performance Arts, Studio D Dance Center, the Lockhart Elementary School 4th Grade Chorus and South Shore School of Dance and Music.

But, of course, the jovial ceremony also features Santa Claus, who arrives at 6:15 p.m.

It takes place at Klestinac Park on Broadway in Massapequa from 6-8 p.m. The raindate is Sunday, Dec. 8.
