Drive-In Movies Coming To Oyster Bay Town With E.T., Thor, Nemo
E.T., Han Solo, Nemo, Thor and more are coming to the Town of Oyster Bay, as drive-in movies open across the town in the coronavirus era.

GLENWOOD LANDING, NY — As Long Island begins reopening in the coronavirus era, drive-in movies are returning to the Town of Oyster Bay, starting with a screening of "Finding Nemo" in Glenwood Landing.
Joseph Saladino, the town supervisor, and the Town Board said Tuesday that drive-in movies will return for the first time in over two decades with free pop-up theatres offering movies to residents only for five consecutive weeks beginning May 28 with a screening of "Finding Nemo" at Tappen Beach in Glenwood Landing.
Screenings will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays.

"Everyone loves a good comeback story, and everyone loves the movies," Saladino said in a news release. "For the first-time in two decades, drive-in movies will return to the Town of Oyster Bay for families and seniors to watch great Hollywood hits from the comfort of their own car while taking in the summer breeze."

- Thursday, June 4 at TOBAY Beach in Massapequa: "Solo: A Star Wars Story"
- Tuesday, June 9 at Ellsworth Allen Park in Farmingdale: "Onward"
- Thursday, June 11 at Fireman’s Field in Oyster Bay: "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory"
- Tuesday, June 16 at Westfield Sunrise Mall in Massapequa: "Thor: The Dark World"
- Thursday, June 18 at Broadway Commons in Hicksville: "E.T."
- Tuesday, June 23 at Ellsworth Allen Park in Farmingdale: "Jumanji: The Next Level"
- Thursday, June 25 at TOBAY Beach in Massapequa: "Grease"
Vehicles will be admitted to the parking lot on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 7 p.m. on the day of the event. For safety reasons, moviegoers must stay in their cars. To maintain social distancing, every other parking spot will be off-limits to vehicles. Portable restrooms will be on-site. Movies are subject to change and will be held weather permitting. Moviegoers are asked to consider donating a nonperishable food item upon arrive at the drive-in. All donations will benefit Island Harvest Food Bank.
