Girls Hoops: Massapequa is the top seed in the Class AA playoffs and they host Freeport in a quarterfinal game at 6 p.m.

Schools Open: One more reminder that Massapequa Public Schools will be open Tuesday and for the remainder of the week. Winter Break was canceled this year as a result of Hurricane Sandy.

Ice Rink: Massapequa Schools may be in session but all Town of Oyster Bay Ice Rinks will be on a holiday schedule.

Defensive Driving: The AARP will sponsor a defensive driving course for seniors. It will be in the Bar Harbour Library at 9:30 a.m. Pre-registration is required.
