Village Board: The Massapequa Park Village Board will hold their second meeting in February. It convenes at Village Hall, located at 151 Front Street and will start at 8 p.m..

Fire Board: The Massapequa Fire Department also has a Monday night. The fire board will meet at 8 p.m. at district headquarters located at 1 Brooklyn Avenue.

Adult Education: The Bar Harbour Library will host a quilting class in the auditorium from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Track: Members of the Massapequa Boys and Girls track teams will be taking part in the Eastern States meet at the 168th Street Armory in Manhattan beginning at 4 p.m.

Oscars: Hollywood's biggest night was also a long one as Sunday's three and a half hour Academy award ceremony culminated with Argo receiving the Best Picture Trophy. Other winners included leads Daniel Day-Lewis for "Lincoln" and Jennifer Lawrence for her role in "Silver Linings Playbook." Anne Hathaway won Best Supporting Actress for he role in "Les Miserables," while "Django Unchained's" Christoph Waltz won Best Supporting Actor.  Ang Lee won Best Director for "Life of Pi."
