LONG ISLAND, NY — After a week of mostly wet and miserable weather, Long Islanders are in for a beautiful weekend.

There's a slight chance of rain Friday afternoon, but then skies will be clear and sunny this weekend, with unusually high temperatures. It will be warm, with highs getting near 50 both Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

The wonderful weather will continue into the start of the new week, too. Some more clouds will move in, but there won't be any rain. Unfortunately, temperatures will start to drop as the week goes on.
