Massapequa Chamber Of Commerce Collects Toys For Tots

MASSAPEQUA, NY. — The Massapequa Chamber of Commerce's holiday toy drive has returned this December, giving Massapequa residents the opportunity to donate toys as part of the Chamber of Commerce of the Massapequas Annual Toys for Tots program.

The donation drive will run one more week, accepting donations at 26 chamber member locations throughout Massapequa, listed below, through Dec. 15. The donations will be collected and packed up for delivery Tuesday, Dec. 16.

Chairing the toy drive is Chamber of Commerce treasurer Karen Gawrych, in her third year at the helm of the drive since former president and chair of the chamber Patricia Orzano passed in November of 2023. When asked what it meant to be participating in the yearly tradition, Gawrych said she was, "truly honored" to serve in the role.

"This program is more than a toy collection: it is a reminder that small acts of kindness can make a lasting impact," Gawrych told Patch Monday. "I am grateful for the opportunity to help bring joy to families who might be facing difficult times, and it is a privilege to work alongside local businesses and community partners who all believe in the power of giving. "
