Massapequa Crime Report: Assault Arrest at Town Garage

A look at 7th precinct reports from Feb. 5-Feb. 11.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Assault

On Feb. 6, Philip Pantano, 26 of Copiague, was charged with assault and leaving the scene of an incident at the  The Town of Oyster Bay Highway Garage at Carman Mill Road in Massapequa, police said.

DWI

On Feb. 6, Angelo Vardaro, 51, of Hewlett, was arrested at the intersection of Bay Drive and Sunset Boulevard in Massapequa  and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle  and one violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, police said.

Possession of Stolen Property

On Feb. 8, Raliek Reaves, 30, Huntington was arrested at the Sunrise Malland charged with criminal possession of stolen property, police said.

Petty Larceny

On Feb. 6, a Copiague woman was arrested at Macy's at the Sunrise Mall and Charged with petty larceny, police said.

On Feb. 8, a Melville woman was arrested at Walmart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny, police said.

On Feb. 10, an Amityville woman was arrested at Sears at the Sunrise Mall and was charged with petty larceny, police said.

Criminal Mischief 

On Feb.5, tires were slashed on a two cars  parked on Beechwood Place in Massapequa Park, police said. The incidents occurred between 11:30 p.m. the night before and. and 2 p.m.

On Feb. 8, a vehicles tires were slashed on Franklin street in Massapequa Park.
