Massapequa Man Charged in Knifepoint Robberies
Arrest made Friday afternoon in knife-point robberies.
A Massapequa man has been charged in a series of knife-point robberies of gas stations dating back to June, police said.
Kevin Washington, 43, was arrested Friday and charged with four robberies between June 27 and Tuesday.
He was allegedly responsible for robberies at the following locations:

- a Sunoco station on Hempstead Turnpike in Uniondale at 12:55 a.m. on June 27.
- a Mobil station on Grand Avenue in Baldwin at 4:15 a.m. on Aug. 16.
- a Mobil station on Old Country Road in Westbury at 2:28 a.m.on Aug. 27.
- a BP station on Broadway in Hicksville , at 1:27 a.m. on Tuesday.
Washington was also accused of a larceny at a BP station in East Meadow on Aug. 1. He was charged with four counts of robbery and four counts of weapons possession as well as petty larceny and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
