Massapequa Musicians Selected For Virtual Festival
Nearly 50 student-musicians across the district participated in workshops to help hone their skills.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — Nearly 50 musicians from the Massapequa School District were invited to participate in virtual workshops hosted by the Long Island String Festival Association. The workshops were held in March, which is Music in Our Schools Month.
The selected students are members of elementary school and middle school orchestra ensembles, and play either the cello, double bass, viola or violin. Congratulations to the following students:
Massapequa High School Ames Campus: Tyler Benedict, Faridah Benhammou, Leandro de Cuba and William Stebner (Grade 9).

Berner Middle School: Jaiya Arjune, Noah Branth, Ava Buonaspina, Thomas Burke, Leah Burns, Nicholas Cordero, Vivian Despagni, Sophia DeToma, Garrett Hale, Vanessa Iraheta-Enamorado, Leah Johnson, Grace King, Ryan Land, Hailey Larman, Jaden Maione, Kaylee Sandurs, Nathaniel Stutz, Summer Sugamele, Annie Terranova, Reilly Tranchina and Cassandra Van Schuyler (Grade 6); Liam Chernick, Livia Friedrich, Anya McGrath, Dylan Raghubeer, Sophia Randazzo, Isla Sikinger, Dante Squadrito, Isabella Squadrito and Ava Victor (Grade 7); Kyleigh Burke, Christopher Coghill, Emily DeLuccia, Ava Jones and Aidan Liardi (Grade 8).
