Nassau Police Arrest Driver Of Bus That Had Forged Plate
The Brooklyn man was stopped Saturday in Massapequa, police said.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — Nassau County police stopped a 2001 bus with a Kentucky license plate that was traveling east Saturday afternoon on Sunrise Highway near East Chestnut Street.
During the investigation, officers discovered that the driver of the 2001 MCI 102 Transit Bus had purchased a forged license plate for $150 from someone in Howard Beach, police said.
Officers placed Antoine Legrant of Brooklyn under arrest at 1:40 p.m. The 46-year-old faces a charge of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, plus violations of the vehicle and traffic laws. He was due to be arraigned on Sunday at First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead.
