Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. A North Massapequa man has been charged with selling alcohol to minors in two separate incidents this month, police said. Mohammad Wakmal, 50, as busted in a sting operation as part of Nassau County's "Project 21" initiative, according to police. On March 1 he allegedly sold alcohol to a 17  year-old girl  at the Mini Mart on 903c Broadway without asking for identification. On Sunday cops said he did it again, selling alcohol to a 17-year-old boy at the store. In both cases he was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket  and charged with prohibited sale of alcohol to a person under 21. On Sunday he was also charged with unlawfully dealing with a child.
