Purim in Massapequa

Where to go for Megillah readings, and colorful services.

Saturday evening marks the start of Purim and there will be several colorful services and readings of the Megillah of Esther Here's a look at some of the services:

Congregation Beth-El at 95 Jerusalem Avenue in Massapequa will hold a service Saturday evening which will include a Megillah reading. There will also be a play presented by their religious school called “Shushan Street.” We understand Big Bird and Elmo live their. There will be another Megillah reading Sunday at 9 a.m.

Temple B'nai Torah at 2900 Jerusalem Avenue in Wantagh will also host a Megillah reading at 6 p.m. Saturday. They're promising song, food and fun. There will also be a Purim celebration and Spiel at 7:30 p.m.
