Taking Precautions After Target's Troubles

The retailer faced a security breach that may affect 40 million customers. Do you take steps to protect personal information?

It's been a  difficult week for Target, and the weeks ahead may be difficult for a number of their customers.

The retailer confirmed that a data breech may have affected about 40 million credit and debit accounts.

Those who made credit and debit card purchases between  Nov. 27 and Dec. 15 may have had their personal information compromised.

That includes names, credit and debit card numbers, card expiration dates and the three-digit security codes located on the backs of cards.

In the age of technology, protecting your identity and your accounts has become more important and more difficult.

We want to know what you do to protect your information. How concerned are you about the Target breech. Should there be any consequences for the company or are incidents like these unavoidable?
