Town Of Oyster Bay Hosts Opioid Overdose Seminars Next Month
The seminars will take place on Monday, Sept. 16 and Monday, Sept. 23 in Massapequa Park.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — The Town of Oyster Bay is addressing the ongoing opioid crisis.
A pair of overdose prevention seminars will take place next month at Massapequa Park Village Hall.
"Whether you or a loved one is struggling with addiction or not, we invite you to join us in September for the betterment of our community," Supervisor Joseph Saladino said.

Those in attendance will also learn how to reverse the fatal effects of an opioid overdose by administering the life-saving antidote, Narcan.
The seminars are being held on Monday, Sept. 16 and Monday, Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m., with the Narcan training to follow at 7:30 p.m.

Prior to the seminars a 30-minute support group will be offered for family members who have lost a loved one or have a loved one struggling with addiction.
